Sigma Theta Tau is the only nursing honor society in the world. The University of Iowa’s Gamma chapter is the second oldest chapter, celebrating its 80th anniversary in September of 2009.  The Gamma chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International is located at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA. We are located 115 miles east of Des Moines, Iowa and 200 miles west of Chicago.
