Birthday Party Kit Service Event

The Gamma Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau is hosting a birthday party kit service event on Monday, November 7th from 7pm-9pm in the University of Iowa College of Nursing student lounge. We will be assembling birthday party kits to donate to children at local shelters in order to make their birthdays extra special. In order for this event to be a success, we need donations from you!

Please look at the list below and see if you have any of these items leftover from birthday parties or if you are able to pick something up when you are out shopping this week.

Keep in mind that all items should be unopened.

Items Needed:
- Party favors/goodie bag supplies
- Cake mix & frosting
- Disposable cake pans
- Candles
- Gift certificates to Dairy Queen, Hy-Vee, Whiteys, etc. for the birthday kid to get an ice cream treat
- Juice boxes
- Small packs of birthday plates and napkins
- Small packs of forks
- Party hats
- Decorations (streamers, signs, etc.)
- Small birthday gifts
- Wrapping paper
- Medium size cardboard boxes
- Supplies for making birthday cards (we will be doing this at the event)

The box to place these donations in is located on the ground level of the College of Nursing by the entrance to the computer lab. Please try to have all the donations in by Friday, November 4th at 2pm so that we can gauge what supplies we will need to purchase with the monetary donations.
