Student Leadership Opportunity

Are you a born leader?!  Would you like to be mentored by other leaders in the nursing profession?  If you answered “yes” to either of these questions, then Gamma’s Leadership Intern Program might be for you!

Molly Djuric (08-09 Intern) and Laura Aker (09-10 Intern)

Gamma offers a special opportunity for an undergraduate student and a graduate student to develop their leadership skills.  Board members are available to mentor these students every step of the way.  Benefits of this program include payment for Gamma membership, leadership skill development, ability to network with nurse leaders, a great resume builder and payment to attend Leadership Academy or Biennial Conference.  Applications for these positions are due March 15, 2010. Undergraduate Student Intern Description

The internship will last from August 2010-May 2011.
Duties include:

• Attend and support board meetings
• Work on a project with a chapter officer
• Assist with membership involvement initiatives

Graduate Student Intern Description
Application Materials: Graduate Student Intern Application
The internship will last from August 2010-May 2011. 
Duties include:

• Work on a community- and/or organizational-based project with a Chapter officer. The project will be mutually determined by the intern and the Chapter officer mentor
• Assist with membership involvement activities
• Serve as a community liaison to the Minority Student Nurse Association (MSNA), the University of Iowa Association of Nursing Students (UIANS), or the Association of Graduate Nursing Students (AGNS)
• Attend/support Board meetings
