On Wednesday, February 15, 2012, we will be selling scarves at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. All proceeds will benefit the Surgical Intensive Care Unit’s (SICU) General Family Fund.
The SICU General Family fund is a resource to help families that fall into two general categories:
1) Family members who are orienting to immediate change, for example within the first 24-48 hours of admission after a car collision.
2) Family members who are coping with multiple stressors during a long SICU hospitalization.
Assistance can include a one-time week-long parking waiver, food card, one-time gas assistance and possibly one-night lodging assistance.
The sale will take place in the UIHC Pappajohn Lobby by elevator I. Each scarf will cost $10 and can be paid for with cash or check.
